Allen Pierce is a first-time novelist who grew up in a small New England Town. Allen loved his hometown and the many people who influenced his life in positive ways growing up. This book is, in many ways, a tribute to some of those influential people. Allen enjoys writing as well as working on old cars. He also loves spending time with his two daughters, Stephanie and Corinne, grandchild Phoenix, and his wife of 61 years, Diana.
As a young child, Albert’s claim that he saw a dead body couldn’t be verified, but now years later, it seems maybe he was telling the truth…
As Chief Donald starts to discover details from Albert that couldn’t possibly be made up, pieces missing from Albert’s story start to come to light, which include a mysterious wooden crate given to Albert’s father, containing items that will impact Albert’s life and those close to him forever. Is the strange box connected somehow to to the dead body Albert discovered all those years ago?

The Champagne Crate is a well crafted mystery. I was taken in from the beginning. The way the author interwove all elements of the story and brought them together in the end was something some seasoned authors are not able to do. Do not wait to read this book, it is well worth the money.
